Few months ago, I told you guys about the Elephone S7 which I called 'An S7 Clone'.
After much anticipation, the Elephone S7 has finally been launched and available for sale.
The Elephone S7 features a metal frame that goes around the sides separating two glass panels on the back and the front. It has a design similar to Samsung devices and a curved screen like the S7 Edge.
The Elephone S7 looks like a combination of the Galaxy Note 7 and the Galaxy S7 edge.
However, though the Elephone S7 looks like a Samsung flagship, it has a couple of disappointing specifications.
Before I discuss the specifications of the Elephone S7, I want us to look at something Elephone is saying.
Elephone says the S7 is a guaranteed 'explosion-proof' device. The maker says that there are three layers of protection against explosions. The first is a battery that's been extensively tested. The second layer is an explosion-proof membrane and the third is an explosion-proof TPU shell.
There are two versions of the Elephone S7. One comes with a 5.2-inch display while the other has a larger 5.5-inch display. Both devices have a resolution of 1080 × 1920 pixels and are protected by a curved display glass.
The Elephone S7 is powered by a MediaTek Helio X20 chipset with a deca-core CPU and an ARM Mali T880 GPU. The device comes in different variants, The cheapest variant comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage but there are also models with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage as well as a variant with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
The Elephone S7 comes with a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie camera. Other specs include a microSD card slot, dual-SIM support, NFC support, Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and a 3000mAh battery.
Pricing starts from $139.99.
