Tecno To Release Camon C9 With Dual Front Camera And Fingerprint Scanner

While we wait for the release of the supposed Infinix device with a fingerprint scanner, Tecno is about to release the successor of Camon C8 - the people's favorite.

The camon C9 is said to be released sometime in June and it is expected to come with a camera that would slay the camon C8 despite the camon C8 having one of best cameras ever seen on any Tecno device.

Tecno Camon C9 specs

According to sources, The camon C9 will feature a dual selfie camera of 13 megapixels. OMG!!
The front facing camera will also feature a wide angle selfie shooter allowing room for more people in a single selfie shoot. The device will also sport a 13 megapixels back camera.

Are you feeling the same way I am?

Pictures of tecno camon C9

The Tecno camon C9 is also rumored to have a fingerprint scanner and though this wouldn't be the first Tecno device to have a fingerprint scanner I think it's really cool.

Rumors making the rounds also suggest that the Tecno camon C9 could have a rotating camera however, with the pictures I have I don't see how that will work.

For the Android version, the Tecno camon C9 will probably come preloaded with the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Tecno's HiOS over the top.
Another rumored feature is 4G connectivity.

If you start counting, you'll notice a lot of 'Rumor' was mentioned in this write-up so remember to take it with a grain of salt.

Samsung Skips Note 6 - Set To Launch Galaxy Note 7

Top Android phone maker, Samsung is rumored to be skipping the really anticipated Galaxy Note 6 and heading straight to launch the Galaxy Note 7. They are said to have opted for the name to avoid negative perception of its upcoming phablet.
samsung skips note 6 launches note 7
According to reports, Samsung is concerned that might think the Note 6 is an outdated device because it was one number behind this year's flagships Galaxy S7 and S7 EDGE. Due to this, Samsung is going one year ahead and calling this year's Note the galaxy Note 7 instead of the galaxy Note 6.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will likely come with 6GB RAM, dual-edged display and dual camera, Iris Scanner a 4000mah battery and would be powered by a snapdragon 823 chipset. However, none of these have been officially confirmed by Samsung so remember to take it with a grain of salt. What I do know is that the Galaxy Note 6 or Galaxy Note 7 would be launched sometime in August 2016.

Check Out This Infinix Device With A Fingerprint Scanner!

I came across a post on yomiprof.com where he said that Infinix was planning on releasing a new device that will come with a fingerprint scanner!

If this turns out to be true, that would mean that this 'unnamed' device would be the first Infinix device to come with a fingerprint scanner.

Infinix device with fingerprint scanner
I think this is a step in the right direction seeing as phones with fingerprint scanners are the new craze of smartphone lovers.

The Specs, name and price of this beautiful is still unknown however from all indications, I suspect that it will be the Infinix Note 3 X521.

Could This Be The End Of Windows Phones? Market Share Drops Below 1%

Once upon a time, Windows OS was one of the top operating system in the world of smartphones. Right now, it just a few steps ahead of Blackberry OS.

Despite all attempts to save the windows OS, it's market share has dropped below 1% for the first time ever. If it continues this way, I think the windows OS is gradually working its way to irrelevance.

Windows phone market share

According to Gartners mobile sales report, Microsoft saw an humiliating market share of 0.7% in the first quarter of 2016 which represents 2.4 million windows phones sold of the 349 million smartphones shipped in the last quarter.

Smartphone market share report
Even their former 'bedmate' Nokia recently announced its return however they wouldn't be returning with the Windows OS but Android! Guess they decided to abandon the sinking ship.

Meanwhile Blackberry OS is steady holding last position with a market share of 0.2%

Windows phone is falling down...falling down.. falling down *Singing*

The Classic Peugeot 504 Could Be Coming Back With A New Design

If you're 16 years old and above, you should know the Peugeot 504. You might have not taken a ride in it but you would have seen it or heard of it.
Back in the middle 90's and early 20's, this car was a big deal, along with Volkswagen Beetle car popular called' ijapa' aka tortoise car. They were the Accords and Camrys of their time.

Peugeot 504 new design
I never owned one but from what I hear, the spare parts of the Peugeot 504 was abundantly available and it was really easy to repair, making it the ideal car.
Then, cars with newer technologies came and the Peugeot 504 vanished.
However, it seems the Peugeot 504 is having a make over. At least that's what the tweet below suggest;

Have a look at this tweet:
Peugeot 504 redesigned
If this turns out to be true, I think it would make a lot of sense. The Peugeot 504 was too good to go extinct.

This is what the 'supposed' Peugeot 504 plus looks like ;

Innjoo Set To Launch Halo Plus Soon

In one of my most recent posts, I told you guys that Innjoo was planning on releasing new smartphones soon. It seems one of these devices will be Innjoo Halo Plus, an improved version of the Innjoo Halo which was launched last year.

Innjoo halo plus specs
The Innjoo Halo Plus comes with;

  • 1GB RAM
  • 16GB ROM
  • 3600mah Battery
  • 5.5 inch display

  • Quad-core processor.
Sadly, I don't really know much about this device, that all I could get. However, I promise to keep you informed if I get more info.
From the little I could squeeze out, I could only spot two improvements in the Innjoo Halo Plus which is the battery(from 3200 to 3600mah) and the screen size (from 5 inch to 5.5inch).

Innjoo halo plus
Well, I think I love the design of the Innjoo Halo Plus especially the black thingy at the back, it gives it a Nexus 6P feel.

Check Out The Leaked Specs Of The BlackBerry Hamburg

Some time last month, there was news of  two coming blackberry devices which would run on Google’s Android OS codenamed the blackberry Hamburg and Blackberry Rome.

According to Leaked specs published on GFX Bench, the blackberry Hamburg will run on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1, will feature a Full-HD 5.2 inch display with a resolution of 1980 × 1080 resolution. It will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 615 chip with an octa core processor clocked at 1.5Ghz and an Adreno 405 GPU. Blackberry Hamburg specs
GFX Bench also hints that the Blackberry Hamburg will come with a RAM size of 3GB and a 16GB internal storage space.

How To Get 1GB For N500 On MTN Pulse

How To Get 1GB For N500 On MTN Pulse
The 1GB for N500 MTN data plan has been available for a while now, I would have posted it here but it skipped my mind. However, in a recent post where I talked about the new MTN pulse video, someone asked how to activate it.

I'll go straight to the point on this, to activate the 1GB for N500 data plan, all you have to do is;

  • Migrate to MTN pulse by dialing *406*1#, you are already on MTN pulse, skip to the next step.
  • Recharge your phone with N500.
  • Dial *406*2# to activate the plan. It is valid for 7 days.
That's all

Here Are Some Leaked Images Of The iPhone 7

In the mobile market, there are two devices that are really anticipated by everyone. And these are the iPhone and Samsung S-series. Over a month ago, Samsung released the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge its flagship devices on the year 2016 and I got to say, they did not disappoint.

Its safe to conclude that they are loved by the people(me too *winks*). Now that samsung has successfully impressed us, all attention has been directed at the iPhone.

If we are to believe renders uploaded on GSM Arena, the iphone 7 would look a lot like the iPhone 6/6S.

leaked image of iPhone 7

The major differences you can notice with the rendered designs are the redesigned antenna bands(the white line) across the back and the lack of the headphone port. Also, rumor has it the iPhone 7 could be waterproof and might come with a touch home button(like most android devices).

image of iPhone 7

If these rumors are true, then those saving up to get the iPhone 7 because of the groundbreaking design should just wait for the iPhone 8 or iPhone 7S (P.S.: According to MissTechy, there will be a major redesign on the iPhone 8 next year to mark Apple’s 10-year anniversary).

The battle for the best data provider in Nigeria is getting really really intense, most of my post these days are about a newly data plan(not like I'm complaining o!).

Additionally, you get 12mins of national calls to all networks when you subscribe for the N100 plan and 5mins of national calls when you subscribe for the N50 plan.

Mtn New Data Plans - Do They Zap?

Mtn New Data Plans - Do They Zap?
Mtn recently introduced new cheap data plans and a lot of people seemed to love them when they were released. However right now, this same group of people have been complaining that the new data plans zaps with Barry Allen kinda speed.

An enraged Nairalander named "Dygeasy" complained bitterly about this in a thread on nairaland;
I subscribed to the new MTN Data plan of 2,000 naira for 3.5gig yesterday. I'm on the Bettertalk plan which gives me triple of every recharge so I got 4,000 naira bonus upon recharge.

I did the subscription while still having the bonus intact. Now according to a Customer Care representative when I enquired sometime ago, I was told that if you subscribe to any data plan on Bettertalk, before your data starts getting deducted they would start deducting from the bonus airtime for any internet-related activity. That is however true from my previous data subscription with MTN when I used to do the 4.5 gig for 2,500 Naira.

For the past 20 hours I have made calls and used the Internet all of which were charged from my 4,000 nara bonus airtime.

Late into the evening, I checked my data balance and I had my full 3.5gig intact and I saw another 700mb for night plan. I disregarded that as system error and went about my own normal business.

I used the Internet for a while and about three hours later, I wanted to see if they had started deducting from my data and Lo! I saw I had 615mb left.

I didn't download. In fact I made sure I didn't download because I wanted to ensure I used a substantial amount of the airtime to make calls.

How on earth did I spend 2.9 gig in three hours?

I called Customer Care and they were quoting some nonsensical thousands of kilobytes that I used.

My phone is telling me otherwise. No matter the difference in the data usage calculations, it shouldn't be that much. Screenshot attached.

This is a huge inconvenience from MTN. 2,000 Naira might be meagre but this is unacceptable.

This is not my first time of subscribing on this phone for different data plans. Why is this different? I am not going to accept this.

Another really hilarious guy went as far as warning people to stay away from MTN data plans, and I must say, his write-up is one of the funniest things I've ever read.
I would have shared it here but it is really long and this post is already quite long as it is so if you want to read his article(trust me, you want to), click here

Yomi of Yomiprof.com recently published a post also complaining about this same MTN data issue.

The question right now is, how is your MTN data plan burn rate?

New Etisalat Users Can Get 1GB For N500

I will try as much as i can to make this quick and simple.

It is a known fact that the telecommunication companies in Nigeria are in a serious competition. I'm still wondering what stirred them up. The good thing is that we the customers are the ones enjoying the benefits.

Etisalat recently revised it’s 1.5GB and 3.5GB data plans reducing their prices to N1000 and N2000 respectively.

Etisalat 1GB for N500

Now, Etisalat is offering new subscribers 1GB of data for just N500. This is only available to new etisalat sims.

How To Subscribe?

If you just joined etisalat network, you can get 1GB for N500.
To subscribe you must have a minimum of N500 on your new Etisalat Sim, then dial *229*2*2#. To check your data balance, dial *228#.

Innjoo Set To Launch New Smartphones Soon

Since Innjoo released the Innjoo 2, Max 2 and Max 2 plus, there's been an uneasy slience. After the rather long silence, Innjoo is set to launch some new smartphones during Jumia Mobile Week which is coming up towards the end of the month. Rumors suggest that one of them will be called Innjoo A+.

Innjoo new A plus

There isn’t much details about the device and the specifications available are based on rumors which cannot be trusted. Apart from a teaser which was uploaded on youtube, there isn’t any other form of confirmation from the company but come the end of May, we’ll see what Innjoo is up to with the upcoming Innjoo A+.

Innjoo a plus

The teaser shows two different devices and they both look like mid-range smartphones.

According to reliable sources, the reason why the company has been "silent" for a while is because the Innjoo 2 andf Max 2 didn't sell so much.
These devices are going to have to face some really tight competition on arrival as other brands like Tecno and Infinix have been busy releasing really nice smartphones this year.

Watch the teaser below;

Tecno Launch L8 Plus With Larger RAM

Tecno mobile have recently launched Tecno L8 Plus, the device is an improved version of the recently launched Tecno L8. Those that have used or bought the Tecno L8 can testify that the battery is just...Wow..
I recently played with it(not for long tho') and I've got to say the battery is worth all the hype it got.

Tecno L8 Plus
The Tecno L8 Plus comes with the same specs as the regular Tecno L8: same size(5.5 inches), same 5050 mah battery capacity, same Android version(Lollipop 5.1).
The only area that was improved is the RAM, the Tecno L8 Plus comes with a larger 2GB RAM size unlike the Tecno L8 which came with 1GB RAM.
Tecno L8 specs and price in Nigeria
I wonder who reminded Tecno that 1GB RAM phones are going out of style.

If you like the Tecno L8 and you have N32,500 to spend but you think 1GB RAM is too small for you, you can conveniently get the Tecno L8 Plus and enjoy its massive 5050 mah battery.

MTN Throws Triple-Shades At Airtel Etisalat And Glo In New MTN Pulse Ad

Competition in the telecom sector is really fierce right now as every network provider is trying its best to woo subscribers to their side by introducing really cool data plans and other juicy offers.

In the past few weeks, MTN has been coming really strong in the aspect of data plans by releasing very cheap data plans back-to-back [in egbon Olamide's voice] *winks*
Etisalat didn't allow itself to be left behind as they followed suit and also revised their data plan prices and also came with their cheap data plan

Months ago, Airtel made a controversial 'Welcome To Airtel' video which seemed like they were hitting on MTN. Well, A response has been made and Etisalat and Glo were also included in it.

mtn diss airtel etisalat and glo

MTN released the new MTN pulse video a few days ago and the video talked about all the goodies that comes with migrating to MTN pulse like the new MTN midnight plan and the new 1GB for N500 data plan and the video seems to be taking silent shots at Airtel, Etisalat and Glo judging by the colour of the ties and the lady's shirt.

The video features Falz (with his funny accent), Tekno and Skales.

You can watch the video below.

How To Get Full Lives In Candy Crush Without Waiting

Recently, for some unknown reasons I have been crazily addicted to playing Candy crush, a game I used to hate and classified as a lady's game.
I can't go one hour without playing it now.
How to get full lives in candy crush

However, one thing I hate about the game is having to wait for thirty minutes to get a live. You know how many levels I would have cleared in that time?

This torture continued for a while until I concluded that I was going to find my way around it and I did!

I'll try to make this short because my battery is low and I want to publish it before I sleep.

To get full lives on candy crush without waiting one second all you have to do is change your phone's time to a future time.

For example, if my lives on candy crush empties around 3:23, originally I'll have to wait thirty minutes to get one life.
The trick here is pushing your phone time to when next you'll get a life.
For example, if you change your phone's time to 3:53 you'll get one life(skipping the thirty minutes you'd have had to wait) and if you push it about three hours ahead, you'll get a full set of lives.

Now I enjoy my candy crush without any hindrances using this trick.

Check Out Etisalat's Newly Revised Cheap Data Plans

I guess it took a bold move by MTN to wake Etisalat from its slumber. The newly introduced MTN midnight plan and other cheap data plans which MTN introduced over the past month have made massive waves making MTN a reigning champion in the data plans arena.

Etisalat has stolen a page from MTN's book and have also introduced their own cheap data plans.

Without much talking, here are the new Etisalat data plans;

  • 1.5GB for N1000, dial *229*2*7#
  • 3.5GB for N2,000 dial *229*2*8#
  • 5GB for N6,500 dial *229*2*3#
  • 8GB for N8000 dial *229*2*5#
  • 10GB for N10,000 dial *229*2*5#

Etisalat New Cheap Data Plans

These are really cool data plans and they are almost standing shoulder-to-shoulder with MTN new plans except the 10GB plan which costs N10,000 while MTN's 10GB plan costs N5,000. Still I believe it's a good development.

Let's watch and see if Airtel and Glo would also interfere in this battle of cheap data plans.

MTN is trying so hard to be the best and most preferred data provider in Nigeria and I've got to say they are doing a really good job!
They recently introduced a lot of cheap data plans, like that was not enough they have come up with another cheap data plan to cater for our surfing needs.
Just recently, Airtel hiked up the price of their Three-hour Midnight plan from N200 straight to N1,000! However, our beloved MTN has come up with a better and cheaper data plan which gives you 500MB for just N25 usable between 12am - 4am...can you believe that?

How To Subscribe For MTN Midnight Plan

To subscribe for this plan, you have to be on MTN iPulse tariff plan. If you are not already on MTN iPulse, you can easily migrate by dialing *406#
After you have successfully migrated to MTN iPulse, make sure you have at least N30 on your MTN line.
Then send Night To 131 via SMS then you'll get a confirmation message saying;
"Dear customer, you have successfully subscribed to Free Night Browsing between 00:00 and 04:00. N25 has been deducted from your account."

Remember, it is only usable between 12am and 4am.

If you're still doubting, I assure you that it works. In fact I used it to publish this very post.

Etisalat Introduces New 1GB For N500 Data Plan
With all the new and really affordable data plans that are being introduced, I think customers are in for a feast. In a competitive market, the customers are the ones that gain the most as they are spoilt with choice.

Mtn recently introduced a couple of new cheap data plans which I posted here. And now, it appears etisalat has also joined the race by introducing the 1GB For N500 plan.

How To Activate This Plan

  • Make sure you have at least N500 in your Etisalat sim.
  • Dial *229*2*2# to activate the plan, it is valid for 30 days.

Video Calling Coming To Whatsapp Soon - Already Available On iOS

Last year December, rumors of whatsapp video Calling made the headlines. the video calling feature is coming to whatsapp very soon.

Whatsapp video calling on Android
The video call icon can now be seen on the top right corner of the chat screen.
Apparently the video call feature is accessible on some devices running the beta app, but it is not yet activated and/or it requires the other party to have the beta too.

It is now obvious that the video calling feature is coming to whatsapp very soon. However, it is unknown if it will be available for everyone or just for beta testers.

Whatsapp video calling

The whatsapp video calling feature is expected to roll out with the version 2.16.3.525 update. To be a beta tester for this feature, you need to have a Jail-broken iPhone with Cydia installed.

Unfortunately, there is no information about the video calling feature on Android. I'll update you guys as matters unfold stay glued.

You Can Now Charge Your Phone With A Burning Fire!

Charging phones with fire is a popular joke in this part of the world. My brother says it all the time, he says "help me shook my phone for fire" which means "help me put my phone in the fire" whenever he wants me to charge his phone for him. I just hope he doesn't say it to the wrong person one day... Lol.

With technology and innovation, this 'joke' has become possible. You can now charge your phones with burning fire using FlameStower charger.

This portable, affordable charger captures excess heat from cooking stoves or campfires to charge your USB-powered devices: cell phones, tablets, GPS, and more.
Its elegant design allows for an easy setup, charging, and storing, making FlameStower your affordable go-to charger.

How to charge phones with fire

It is designed to work with any open flame: cooking stoves, campfires, candles, anything! Once the blade is in the fire, the thermal energy from the fire is transferred to the Thermoelectric Generator (TEG) of the FlameStower.
The opposite surface of the TEG is in contact with the water reservoir then Hot side gets hot, cold side stays relatively cool then the temperature difference generates electricity.

Charge phones with fire

This would be perfect when you go on your next visit to the village where there isn't much electricity, you could just pretend to be helping grand ma when she's cooking while you charge with the burning firewood.

You can get the Flamestower on amazon for just $99

Airtel Has Stopped Their N100 For One Hour Midnight Plan

When MTN is seriously reducing their data plan prices and making surfing the net easier, Airtel is doing the exact opposite!

The Unlimited Time based midnight plan is a plan that most downloaders depend on(including me). It is amazing that you can get unlimited data for one hour at a really cheap price of N100. Yet, Airtel has decided to silently hike up the price and tell no one about it.

Someone tried subscribing for the one-hour plan yesterday and he charged an outrageous N500!!
And Yomiprof told also told me that the three-hour plan now cost N1000!!

It made me start wondering, 'Is this as a result of the current increase in price of almost every thing or just a telecommunications company trying to show their muscles?'

Yesterday, I tried subscribing for the N200 three-hour plan with over N200 in my account balance, it said I was unable to subscribe to the plan due to insufficient balance.
Then I called their customer service to lodge a complaint and the representative said it was as a result of a system upgrade that I was unable to subscribe saying I should try again in 24 hours time.

Now, here's the shady part.. If you dail *481# you'll see that all the plan appear to be at their normal price.

However, if you try subscribing for them, you'll be charged way more than you planned for.

Facebook is without a doubt one of the most visited website in Nigeria.
Almost everybody has an active facebook account which they use to keep up with their friends and loved ones.
However, I'm not everyone knows that they can actually facebook as much as they want for FREE on airtel.
It is powered by Airtel so it's not a tweak. I personally tried it out and I think it's cool. You don't need any app or settings to make this work.

MTN To Roll Out 4G LTE Services By July + Cheap Data Plans

I announced in a post I wrote earlier that MTN was planning 4G LTE support. However, I never expected it to be this soon.
This might sound unbelievable but I assure you it is true.
Mtn starts 4g lte connectivity

MTN is set to roll out its 4G LTE services in selected cities in Nigeria come July 2016, using the 800MHZ frequency they acquired from Visafone earlier this year.
MTN intends to have 1500 LTE collocated sites backhauled with fibre optics this year.

As pointed out by MTN CEO, Ferdinand Moolman;

“the main reason MTN acquired Visafone was to get access to the frequency which would allow it roll out LTE. He said that MTN has started the process to migrate all the Visafone subscribers onto its network so that they can clean up the frequency and start rolling out LTE.”

If I were to guess some of these "selected cities" I'll say Lagos, Abuja and probably Port Harcourt would be among the first cities to have a taste of the MTN 4G LTE service.

When this is actualized, MTN would move one step further from the other telcom providers and one step closer to NTEL.

And to make this new more juicy, MTN has announced new cheaper data plans to suit to browsing needs.
Here are the new plans;

Plan Old Plan Old Price New Price Activation Code
100MB50MB₦200₦200*113#
30MB25MB₦150₦100*131*1*1#

3.75GB750MB₦2,000₦2,000*110#

Dail *131# to see all the exciting new data plans

Effects Of Visafone - MTN Migration On Users: The Good And The Bad

I recently published an article about the Visafone-MTN migration, how MTN has converted visafone from a CDMA network to a GSM network.

While I was writing my previous post(the one before this one), I saw the post which I had earlier written about migration and I started to imagine how the migration affected Visafone users then I realized that it actually affected them in a lot of ways.

Mtn visafone migration

The migration affects users in a good way and in a bad way, I will be listing two of these effects in this post, one for both sides.

I know the topic of this post sounds like an Economics WAEC question.....lol... I'm sorry that was the best I could come up with.

Without wasting more of your time, I shall dive into the details.

Problem With Recharge Cards - The migration has saved users the trouble of searching for recharge cards like the finals of the gulder ultimate search...lol. I know that sounded funny but really it isn't, if you use Visafone then you will understand what I mean.

I recall some time last year, someone asked me to buy a visafone voucher for him(N500 to be precise). I thought it was going to be an easy task you know, just go out and buy it right?
However, it was after several minutes of searching that I managed to come back with N300 worth of voucher.
Now, with the Visafone - MTN migration, Users can easily recharge their devices with MTN recharge cards which are more than abundant and easy to get through out the country.

The bad part is;
Most Visafone devices have been rendered useless - Looking at the FAQ section of the visafone migration page(No 18 to be precise), it stated;

Since Visafone SIM are CDMA compatible, will my existing CDMA devices or handset work with the MTN SIM?
No, MTN SIMs will only work with a GSM compatible device or handset. However, some CDMA devices or handset are compatible with GSM SIMs.
What this means is that a lot of visafone devices would not support the new MTN SIMs since they're all CDMA devices and this results in a lot of money wasted! Some visafone devices might work with the new SIMs if it supports both GSM and CDMA networks like their Navtech K330 and Blackberry Bold 9930.

For example, I have two visafone modems sadly both of them support only CDMA networks so there's nothing I can do other than to throw them away or keep them on the shelf and be constantly reminded of the quality money I wasted on them.

how to migrate from visafone to mtn

There's this old woman around where I stay, she uses one of those Visafone phones of old(I don't know if you remember them?), recently she came to meet me and she complained that she was trying to recharge her phone but it wasn't going through. Knowing that it had to do with the Visafone to Migration, I directed her to an MTN centre to do the migration.

After the process, she successfully migrated her Sim card to the new GSM Sim . Then She tried inserting it into her several years old visafone device but Lo and Behold! It didn't work.

What this means is that she'd have to discard her which she has been using for a long time (I'm still wondering how she kept it for so long and it was in a good condition too!)

Similar cases have happened to other people across Nigeria too.

I know there's hardly anything that can be done about this problem, I just wanted y'all to know.

This has got to be my longest post EVER! however if you managed to read it till the end, I Appreciate You! *In DJ Khaled's voice*

MTN Introduces New Cheaper Data Plans - 3.75GB, 1.3GB

Today started out like every other day, I was just about to have my bath when I heard the message tone of my phone so I ran to check it because I was expecting an important message from someone.

However, what I saw wasn't what I expected but it was a welcome good news too.

It appears our beloved MTN have introduced a couple of new, cheaper data plans.
Here's the message they sent me;

new cheap mtn data plans 3.75gb

I gotta say, this is a welcome development because due to lack of free browsing cheats many subscribers have resorted to buying data from Data-Resellers and these resellers sell their data at up to N1,200 for 1Gb.

With these new data plans however, you can get 1.3GB at N1,000 and 3.75GB at N2,000 which is waaaay cheaper than what you'll buy from ANY reseller(I see you jumping for joy *winks*).

How To Subscribe For The New Plans

To subscribe for the 1.3GB data plan, simply recharge your line with N1,000 then send 106 to 131 or dail *106#

To subscribe for the 3.75GB plan, recharge your phone with N2,000 then send 110 to 131 or dail *110#

The new plans are also more convenient than buying from resellers and you run zero risk of being scammed.

What do you think? Are these new data plans cool or do you want to go back MTN 's former betterme bundle which offers 2015mb for N2015? I'm sure you don't!
