It's Official! Blackberry Stops Phone Manufacturing

The end of an era has finally come as the once prominent phone maker, blackberry has officially announced to stop the production of smartphones.
Blackberry stop making phones
In a post I wrote earlier, I said that blackberry might stop production of smartphones but I didn't think they could go through with it.

We saw this coming, and it is not entirely shocking because blackberry which was among the world’s largest smartphone makers a decade ago, has been struggling to keep the ship sailing as the smartphone market has been taken over by Apple and Android devices.

In October 2015, Blackberry CEO John Chen said that the company would exit the smartphone business, which has been on life support for years, if it cannot turn a profit in 2016.

… and now, Blackberry announced within their Q2 Fiscal 2017 results,
“Our new Mobility Solutions strategy is showing signs of momentum, including our first major device software licensing agreement with a telecom joint venture in Indonesia. Under this strategy, we are focusing on software development, including security and applications. The company plans to end all internal hardware development and will outsource that function to partners. This allows us to reduce capital requirements and enhance return on invested capital”.
Just as I suggested in this post.

Blackberry will now fully concentrate on software development including security applications.

As stated in the report, "The company plans to end all internal hardware development and will outsource that function to partners"
The million-naira question is, who will these partners be, who will be making phones for blackberry now?

My heart pains for all those who gave up their everything to get Blackberry Bold 5 and those that sold the father's properties to buy a Blackberry Porsche back in the days.

I'll forever remember how annoying it was waiting all those minutes for your Blackberry phone to boot.

How To Activate MTN 4G LTE Service On Your Smartphone

After waiting for several months for MTN to finally launch their 4G LTE services Nigeria, it is finally live for everyone to use.
Some users are already rocking it and below is an MTN 4G LTE speed test;

How To Know if Your Smartphone is Compatible With MTN 4G Network?

MTN 4G LTE network currently runs on Band 7(2600mHz) and they’ve made it even easier for subscribers to confirm if your Sim card and Smartphone supports their 4G services.

To check if your Sim and smartphone support MTN 4G LTE network, simply Text 4G to 131.

If your device is eligible for MTN 4G LTE Service, you should get a message saying:

"Yello! Your device is 4G ready but you need to upgrade your SIM to enjoy MTN 4G LTE. Please visit the nearest MTN store or partner retailer for a SIM swap now...."
Mtn 4G LTE in Nigeria
If your phone is compatible with the 4G network, simply walk into to any MTN service center close to you and do a sim swap to 4G compatible sim.

And if it isn't....Throw that phone across Third Mainland Bridge and get a 4G enabled device..Lol

MediaTek To Power Mid-range Samsung Devices?

When most people hear MediaTek, they think of low budget devices even though that isn't true. MediaTek chipsets power some of the top Android phones like Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 and many others.

Just in case that isn't enough to change your opinion on MediaTek (MTK), it would interest you to know that the largest phone manufacturer in the world, Samsung would start using MediaTek SoCs on some of its devices soon.
Samsung MediaTek
Both companies have managed to keep details of the deal secret for a while, but the cover was recently blown by MediaTek chairman Tsai Ming-kai.

Samsung is expected to place orders for up to 10% of the chips that MediaTek makes and plans to use them on its 'entry-level' devices starting next year(2017).

Currently, Samsung has been using older models of its own Exynos chips on its non-flagship devices with a tiny percentage contracted externally from Chinese chipmaker Spreadtrum Communications.
Previously, Samsung has sourced chips from Broadcom, another chipmaker.

The mobile chip business is dominated by American giant Qualcomm. While MediaTek has been the go-to chipmaker for most budget smartphone brands entering emerging mobile markets like Africa.

MediaTek is faced with the challenges since big companies like Samsung and Huawei which would make for excellent long term clients already have their own chip businesses.

LG has already confirmed that it will also soon be making its own chips after striking a deal with Intel to use their factories.

MediaTek’s chairman said that his company has set its eyes on making Apple a customer. If this ever happens, I think it will bring a massive turn around for MediaTek because of the massive sales Apple devices make every year.

Another New Blackberry Android Device DTEK60 Coming Soon

BlackBerry released the DTEK50 last month, it was the company's second Android phone after the Priv.
We heard several rumors suggesting that the company would be focusing on launching more Android devices, possibly one every three months for the next six months.
Blackberry DTEK60

This might be true seeing that a new Blackberry Android phone, the Blackberry DTEK60, just passed through the FCC. The FCC filing doesn’t give us much details, but it confirms the phone’s existence.

BlackBerry leaked the phone’s specs on their website earlier this week. If these specs are correct, the DTEK60 will be a lot better than the DTEK50.

According to the Leaked specs, the Blackberry DTEK60 might have:
  1. a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor
  2. 4GB of RAM
  3. A 5.5-inch QHD screen
  4. 21-megapixel rear camera and 8-megapixel front-facing camera
  5. 3000mAh Battery with Quick Charge 3.0
  6. Fingerprint sensor
  7. USB Type-C
Also, the blackberry DTEK60 won’t be coming with Blackberry's iconic physical keyboard...Sorry.

The Blackberry DTEK60 is reportedly launching on October 11th with a price tag of $530.

Blackberry To Stop Manufacturing Phones

It's no longer secret that BlackBerry has struggled to remain popular since iPhones and Android took over. And now it seems a hole has been made into the already sinking ship.

According to a Canadian investment website, Blackberry could close its hardware division on September 28.

The report states that the hardware division makes up more than 65% of BlackBerry's research and development expenses but the company's smartphones make up less than 1% of the global market which is an awfully small number.
Blackberry to stop manufacturing phones
This has investors worried about the money-losing division, making BlackBerry CEO John Chen to previously state that he would make a decision about the future of the Hardware division in September.

And the company has started a large sale on its website, set to end on September 27, which is one day before the company's second-quarter earnings release.

All of which suggest the final decision could be announced on September 28, possibly marking the demise of BlackBerry's hardware department.

Earlier this year, the company discontinued its Classic handset, which had the iconic physical keyboard from BlackBerry's most popular design.

Last year, they decided to join Team Android and released the Android powered BlackBerry Priv which includes a slide-out version of the popular keyboard, but even that couldn't resurrect the company's financial standing.

And despite releasing the 'cheap' BlackBerry DTEK50 last month, things aren't looking any better for the struggling smartphone maker.

The demise of the hardware division, if it happens, wouldn't mean the end of BlackBerry. Instead, The company would be focusing on software making, but until an official announcement comes, I'm unsure of what the plan will be.

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Catch Fire In Airplane Mid-air

It seems 'awon-iya aye' have finally caught up with Samsung.
Apple is the cause of all your problems..!
After weeks of bad rep because of the Galaxy Note 7 explosion issue, it is now looking into an incident that happened on Indian airline IndiGo’s flight from Chennai to Singapore earlier this week.

India's Directorate General of Civil Aviation said that passengers on the flight smelled smoke coming out from an overhead baggage bin and alerted the cabin crew.
It was later discovered that there was smoke and sparks coming from a Galaxy Note 2 which was kept inside a bag in the bin.

IndiGo said that there was no fire and that the cabin crew used a fire extinguisher out of caution and then put the phone in a container filled with water.
Samsung has acknowledged that it is looking into the matter, saying “we are in touch with relevant authorities to gather more information.”

The Directorate General  has now said that it’s going to send an advisory to all airlines;
"We advise flyers to exercise caution while flying with Samsung Note devices . They should either keep these devices switched off or not travel with them,"

This is the first of such report about the Galaxy Note 2 as it’s not believed to have battery defects like the Galaxy Note 7.
Samsung released the Galaxy Note 2 back in 2013 and it no longer sells this handset officially.

There was no time frame as to when the update will officially be released but since testing has already started we should expect the update in a few months.

Google Launch Allo The Smartest Messaging App

If you're ever going to create a new messaging app, it had better be something unique. In this time, finding a place amongst popular messaging app like Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp and iMessage is not an easy task. When Google launched Hangouts back in 2013,it didn't really pull it off.

So Google is coming back again with Allo, a messaging app that uses the company's biggest strengths to stand out from other messaging apps. That strength is the famous 'Google search'.

Google messaging app

The Allo app is greatly integrated with the Google Now chatbot. Making it the smartest messaging app out there.
You can ask what tomorrow's weather would look like, suggest replies to conversations, get travel information and many more.

Just like the recently launched Duo Video Calling App, Allo is a mobile-only app. It doesn't have a web version.

To sign up for Google Allo, you use your phone number and attach your Google account. Allo users on your contact list will automatically display, while those who aren't on the service can easily be invited to download the app.

Whatsapp Adds Mention Feature To Group Chat

One of the features we’ve been expecting WhatsApp to add for a very long time is the 'mention' feature. The “Mention” feature allows you to directly address a message to a contact inside a group.

Unlike the recently introduced Quote feature, the new mention feature notifies the contact of the mention whether online or offline.
To use the new whatsapp mention feature, type the @ symbol inside a group and you'll get a list of all the participants in that group chat.
Whatsapp mention feature
You can tap on any of them or just type the first letter of anyone's name to narrow the list down.

When you send the message, the mentioned name will show up as a hyperlink.
Anyone can tap the hyperlinked name to open the contact's page details.
This feature is available in the latest beta version of WhatsApp.

Meanwhile, we are still impatiently waiting for the video calling features.

Google Doesn't Give HTC Credit With Google Pixel

When listing phone manufacturers, Google has never been one of them. The famous Nexus devices have always been the result of collaborations between the company and true OEMs like LG and Huawei.
Google pixel
But Google is finally following through on its word to have full control of the development process for its stock Android hardware. What this means is that, the partnering OEM(HTC in this case) would not have any involvement apart from the sale of the device.

Based on leaked images, there’s no indication whatsoever that HTC is behind both pixel devices.

Unlike previous Nexus devices, these new ones would not bear the name of the OEM, they would also not carry the OEM’s branding or logo – just Google’s own as seen in the image above.

'Safe' Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Explodes In China

Samsung has a real problem of exploding Galaxy Note 7 on its hands, and it has spent almost a month trying to deal with the issue.
The company has announced that it will replace all the faulty Galaxy Note 7 units with brand new ones, as long as you bring them in. It also recently launched a website to check if your galaxy Note 7 is safe.
Galaxy Note 7 Explodes

But a recent occurrence in China has got me thinking "are the safe Galaxy Note 7 smartphones really safe?". According to reports, A Galaxy Note 7 unit that’s supposed to have a non-exploding battery pack inside exploded in China.

China is one of the countries that have been most unaffected by the explosion saga. That’s because all Galaxy Note 7 units shipped to China have ATL batteries inside, which according to Samsung is safe. The same ATL batteries are found inside all of the supposedly safe Galaxy Note 7 handsets.

Both Samsung and ATL are independently investigating the Galaxy Note 7 explosion in China. The device went up in flames a few days ago, and both Samsung and ATL say the battery is not the cause of the explosion.

A popular chinese site TechWeb obtained an official statement from Samsung that stated that the product was damaged from external heating. ATL reached a similar conclusion after its investigations.

It is currently not clear what the source of that external heating was. It’s also unclear whether 'external' means it came from outside the phone, or whether it means the fire did not come from the battery, as is the case with the other Galaxy Note 7 explosions.

Should we worry about all Galaxy Note 7 units out there, safe and unsafe? Are all of them dangerous regardless of what batteries they have? It's too early to tell since it is just one incident.
Whichever way, it really doesn’t look good for Samsung.

How To Know If Your Samsung Note 7 Is Safe

Following various complains of exploding Galaxy Note 7s, Samsung has officially launched a new site to let Galaxy Note 7 owners easily know if their device is safe or not.

It comes about two weeks after Samsung started recalling all Galaxy Note 7 handsets worldwide due to exploding
battery issues.

How to know if Samsung Note 7 is safe from explosion

More than 80 Galaxy Note 7 smartphones users have complained of overheating due to the battery issues in just the US alone, and some users have reported battery explosions that have been blamed for fires in a car amongst many more.

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission officially announced a formal recall of all Samsung Galaxy Note 7 on Thursday.

This new site lets you enter your note 7 IMEI number to see if it is affected by the dreaded explosion disease.
You can find this by dialing *#06# on your Note 7 or by checking the Note 7 box.
Samsung also introduced a green battery icon on safe Galaxy Note 7 devices.

The battery icon on safe Note 7s will change from white to green on the status bar, the 'always on' display screen, and the power off prompt screen.

Samsung is also marking all safe Galaxy Note 7 devices with a square symbol on the packaging of the box.

Although, Samsung's green battery icon can be easily bypassed by unscrupulous sellers using third-party Android themes or apps, the company's new online tool is the
best way to ensure you don't buy a Note 7 that would randomly explode.

If you're attempting to buy a used Galaxy Note 7 then I would advice you to check
the IMEI before purchasing it.

To check if your Note 7 is safe, check it here.

If you find out that your device is affected with the explosion issue, its better you return it immediately, to prevent damage to lives and properties.

Shocking: iPhone 7 Already Has A Problem

Remember two years ago when the iphone 6 was released, the device was found to have bending issues nicknamed "BendGate". Thankfully, we won't have to worry about the iPhone 7 having the same bending issues the iPhone 6 did, but it has its own problem too.

iphone 6 bendgate
Less than two week after its launch, some users of the recently launched iPhone(First noticed by Stephen Hackett from 512 Pixels) have been complaining of a hissing sound coming from the motherboard. And now, this particular problem is called the "Hissgate".

Watch the video below and listen to the sound yourself.

This hissing sound is being triggered when the iPhone’s new A10 Fusion processor is being pushed hard by certain games and other demanding apps. At the moment it is unsure if this problem affects all iphones 7s, but according to Stephen, Apple said they’d replace his device after he reported the issue.
If this issue is not quickly solved, it could serious problem for Apple just like the explosion issue of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7.

Three Years After So Many Android Users Still Stuck On KitKat

Even though the latest Android 7.0 Nougat was just officially launched, so many android users are unfortunately still stuck on the three-year-old Android 4.4 KitKat and two-year-old Lollipop and are not planning to leave anytime soon.
The funny part of it is that some people don’t even care about what OS version they run, some don't even know what version their device runs all they care about is that their phones power up and they can use whatsapp, facebook and take selfies.
android version statistics
However, some users wish to upgrade to the latest version but are unable to do so due to the facts that some phone manufacturers forget to push the android update to older devices and some devices do not have the requirements to run the new operating system.
android version statistics
Android just released the latest usage statistics for android version distribution, you can see from the table above that Android 7.0 Nougat is not listed because it still has a distribution of less than 0.1%, Last year's Android Marshmallow has a distribution percent of 18.7%, Android Lollipop still remains the highest with a record of 35%, and the really outdated KitKat remains surprisingly strong at 27.7%, and Froyo is finally vanishing into thin air with approximately 0.1% share.

Tell me, what android version do you run on your device?

How To Charge Your iPhone 7 And Use Wired Headphones At The Same Time

The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus were official unveiled few days back and one of the most disappointing feature of the new iPhone model is the removal of the headphones jack.
Instead of the regular 3.5mm headphone jack, the iPhone 7 headphones use the lightning port or you use wireless headphones. This means you either charge your iPhone or use your headphones, can't do both at the same time.

Belkin, an accessory maker has come to the rescue with its new Lightning dongle that lets you attach two Lightning connector such as headphones and a charging cable at the same time.
IPhone 7 lightning headphones
The lightning dongle would be available from October 10 for $40, it also works with Apple’s Lightning to 3.5-millimeter headphone adapter if you haven’t upgraded your headphones yet, and don’t want to use the ones Apple is bundling with the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.

Oh.....And don’t think about speeding up your charging times by plugging two chargers into this dongle at once, it only accepts a single power source.

IOS 10 Release Date, Features And Eligible Devices

Few days ago, Apple unveiled the iPhone 7 the most controversial device in Apple history. Among the announcements that were made at the event was the official release date of iOS 10, the newest version of the operating system for iOS devices.

IOS 10 update

Later today 13th September 2016, the new iOS 10 will be arriving to iPhones, iPad and iPod across the world offering users access to exciting new features. Based on previous iOS launch, the iOS 10 is expected to be launched around 6PM.

At the iPhone 7 launch event, Apple CEO Tim Cook said the iOS 10 is the world most advanced mobile operating system.

Eligible Devices For iOS 10

Eligible device for iOS 10
iOS 10 update will be available for iPhone 5 and later, all iPad Air and iPad Pro models, iPad 4th generation, iPad mini 2 and later, and iPod touch 6th generation.

Unfortunately, iPhone 4s won’t be getting iOS 10 updates, it was a miracle it got iOS 9.

If you have previously enrolled in Apple's beta program and have been using iOS 10 beta for the past few months, the final version of iOS 10 should already be rolling to your device.

IOS 10 New Features

Apple has completely changed its messages app as part of iOS 10 adding new multimedia features such as stickers, animations and a predictive emoji keyboard.

Users will also be able to send handwritten notes that animate at the receiver's end as if they're being written with ink on paper.
Handwriting feature iOS 10
Apple has greatly improved its Maps app since it first launched in 2012.
The iOS 10 update brings an updated design that is easier to use, it also comes with the ability to quickly search for important services like petrol stations and restaurant along any route.

A new Memories feature will help users to rediscover old photos, just like Facebook's 'On This Day'.
The new software will also be able to automatically create Memory Movies slideshows with the images.

Since Apple has made its Siri voice recognition software available to third-party developers, iOS 10 should bring more apps with Siri support.

Apple will finally be giving iOS users the option to delete default apps that most people never use, such as Stocks, from their home screen.

Note: Some iOS 10 features are not available for all devices.

Tecno Droipad 10 Pro Coming With Remix OS And 7000mah Battery

A few months back, Tecno launched the Droipad 8D a device that caused a lot outrage on the Internet because most people (including me) believed it was overpriced for the low specs it had.

Tecno is aiming to make that right with the Tecno Droipad 10 Pro. The Tecno DroiPad 10 Pro will be the first of its kind in Nigeria. The tablet will come with Remix OS. Remix OS is an android variant that gives your device a desktop interface.

NCC Fine Innjoo N4 million For Selling Unapproved Smartphones

Last year, the NCC shut down Innjoo office at Ikeja for selling Unapproved, substandard smartphones. I guess Innjoo didn't learn its lesson from the previous encounter with NCC as the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has come for them again and this time with a N4 million fine.

The Innjoo fire is one of the smartphones with the most complains as almost every user of the device have one problem or the other. And even some of their Flagship like the Innjoo 2 has problems too. Innjoo just needs to go!

Earlier this week, NCC raided Innjoo office in Trinity Mall, Ikeja, Lagos for selling unauthorized mobile phones to the public and slammed them a fine of N4Million.
According to NCC, the kind of smartphones InnJoo Mobile sells to the public will hinder network quality.

Their office was sealed AGAIN!… but InnJoo responded very fast and paid the N4Million.

A lot of Innjoo users have complained bitterly on InnJoo Mobile Facebook, for not having InnJoo accessories here in Nigeria.

Back when they Innjoo just came to Nigeria, they had one of the biggest opportunities to take over the Nigerian market phone industry but, they didn't offer good value for money. Nobody in his right mind would buy a phone that will develop problems in the coming weeks or months and because of that, they lost their chance of survival in Nigeria.

Personally, I think the N4 million fine is a bit too small to teach Innjoo the lesson it needs to learn. NCC fined MTN N1.04 Trillion simply for not deactivating Sim cards with incomplete details so I think the fine for selling bad smartphones should be higher.

Price Of Airtel 1.5GB Night Plan Has Been Increased to N200

Airtel's 1.5GB Night Plan has been a helping hand for 'midnight downloaders' like me, because the plan offers 1.5GB of data for just N50.
They did something similar few months back when they increased the price of their unlimited time-based midnight plan from N200 to N1000.

And just like they did before, the price of the 1.5GB midnight plan has not remains at N50 on their page, but if you try subscribing you'll be charged N200.

A call to the customer service confirmed that it has indeed been increased to N200; though the 500MB for N25 still remain unchanged (for now).

A while back, etisalat introduced a night plan that gives you 1GB for N200 and most people complained that it was expensive compared to Airtel 1.5GB Night Plan but now I guess they are both in the same boat.
The best option you have now is to go back to MTN popular night plan of N25 for 500MB or start paying N200 for 1.5GB on Airtel.

Here's Everything You Should Know About The IPhone 7 And 7 Plus

After several months of rumors, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are here in the flesh! Apple announced both devices two days ago at its launch event in San Francisco.
IPhone 7

If you always wanted water resistance and better battery life on your iPhone, you're going to like this. If you wanted a headphone jack, you wouldn't.

The iPhone 7 comes with a bunch of upgrades -- some of which iPhone users have wanted for a while.

The home button of the new iPhone 7 and 7 plus is in a solid-state that doesn't click like previous iPhones.

As I mentioned in a previous post, the iPhone 7 comes in a new color however it is called Jet black not Space Black as earlier speculated, Apple's new glossy black color iPhone, looks beautiful.

Here are the most important things you need to know about the iPhone 7:
  1. Size and Feel: The iPhone 7 feels pretty much the same as last year's iPhone 6S, with the same 4.7-inch screen. Apple says the "HD Retina display" on the iPhone 7 is 25 percent brighter than the iPhone 6S. It includes the pressure-sensitive 3D Touch layer.
  2. Static home button: The home button is now in solid state, which means you can't physically press or click it in.
It is pressure-sensitive, including "taptic feedback", which means that apps can give you three levels of pressure and haptic feedback, like a light or strong buzz. A lot of iPhone users will find this hard to get used to.
  3. Water-resistant: Yes, the iPhone 7 and 7 plus will be water-resistant (IP67), like the Samsung S7(IP68).
  4. No headphone jack: Yea, It's really gone.
    IPhone 7 headphones
Instead, Apple's new EarPods headphones will connect through the Lightning port; you also get an adaptor in the box that let's you use your 3.5mm headphones with the lightning port.
  5. Better camera: The iPhone 7 keeps the 12-megapixel camera, but has a larger aperture and Optical Image Stabilization that keeps images steadier. As earlier rumored, The iPhone 7 Plus gets a second lens on the back.
  6. Better Front Camera: The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus has a 7-megapixel front-facing camera which is an improvement from the iPhone 6S 5 megapixels, and it includes auto-image stabilization.
  7. Stereo speakers: A second speaker has been added to the iPhone 7 to give you stereo speakers. There's now one speaker at the bottom and one at the top.
    IPhone 7 speakers
  8. Longer battery life: The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus comes with greater battery capacity for longer battery life. Apple estimates 12 hours of LTE browsing for the iPhone 7 and 14 hours for the iPhone 7 plus. Apple never tells us what the actual battery capacity is.
  9. Faster processor: The iPhone 7 comes with a new A10 Fusion chip which is a 64-bit quad-core processor which Apple claims is 40 percent faster than last year's A9 processor. Two cores are high-performance, the other two are "high efficiency," meaning they'll conserve battery while handling tasks.
  10. Better Graphics: The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus comes with deeper visual graphics, especially with gaming. (Did I mention that Super Mario is coming to the iPhone?!?!)
  11. More storage!: The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus comes in 32GB, 128GB, 256GB variants, giving you more space for your files.
  12. Colors: The iPhone 7 and 7 plus comes in glossy jet black, matte black, gold, silver, rose gold colors (P.S jet black is only available in 128GB and 256GB models.)
  13. iPhone 7 Prices:

    ModelSizeUSUKAU
    iPhone 732GB$649£599AU$1,079
    128GB$749£699AU$1,229
    256GB$849£799AU$1,379
    iPhone 7 Plus32GB$769£719AU$1,269
    128GB$869£819AU$1,419
    256GB$969£919AU$1,569
You can preorder both the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus this Friday, September 9, and phones will be available September 16. (iOS 10 becomes available on September 13 for everyone else who's ready to upgrade).
More About The New Camera
Although Apple keeps the camera at 12-megapixel, the increased aperture (now f1.8) lens lets in 50 percent more light through the six-element lens. That's better for all photos, and also improves low-light photography.

Optical image stabilization (OIS), is also important here. Last year's iPhone 6S Plus was the only phone to have it. This time Apple blesses the both the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus with OIS, which produces crisper images even if your hands shake a bit while you're taking it.

Finally, the iPhone 7 and 7 plus comes with a new quad-LED flash (up from a dual-LED flash) will make the flash brighter. The iPhone 7 still supports Live Photos (a 3-second video clip) and thanks to iOS 10, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus support RAW image.

Final Words: Though the iPhone 7 and 7 plus feels a lot like the 6S (and the 6). But the improvements to its battery, faster performance, water resistance and camera makes a lot of difference.
