How Was Your Black Friday Experience? Good Deal Or Big Scam?

How Was Your Black Friday Experience? Good Deal Or Big Scam?
According to a survey conducted by me, this year's black friday was the biggest and most anticipated in the history of Nigerian black fridays.

One of the reasons being because more people knew about it and prepared for it.
Even though this was the biggest black friday sale in Nigeria, a lot of people were left disappointed.

It all started with Jumia's black friday flash sale for the infinix hot 2 which was obviously the most anticipated of all deals.
The flash sale started by 12 am yesterday morning, about ten minutes before the sale began I was on jumia just going through, trying to keep an eye and see how it was going to go down. It was peaceful and smooth until the clock hit 12, then the worst happened. None of the jumia pages was loading, then I tried using the mobile app and had no luck either, I believed it was an error in my network connection so I tried loading a different website on another tab and it went loaded smoothly.
It got to a point when I got an error message whenever I tried loading the Jumia website telling me to check the spelling and try again.

I headed to konga and I could barely notice any difference in price, it was almost as if nothing was going on.
The only price slashes I saw were mostly fashion products.

This was my black friday experience, how was yours?

Android 6.0 Marshmallow Arrives Android One Devices, Is HOT 2 Next?

The infinix hot 2 is one of the most widely accepted mobile phones in Nigeria, one of its major selling points besides the fact that its really cheap is the constant system updates it receives.
The infinix hot 2 is an android one device hence, it is expected to run the latest android version available.
Since the official launch of the android marshmallow 6.0 all android one users including our very infinix hot 2 started waiting earnestly for the major upgrade.
Since the release of android marshmallow 6.0 there has been a few minor upgrade on the infinix hot 2 which mainly consisted of bug fixes getting the device ready for an android marshmallow 6.0 upgrade .

Since November, Google has started a secret, low-profile 6.0 upgrade for nexus and android one devices.

Judging by some signs there's going to be large scale roll out of android 6.0 marshmallow to android one devices which might include the famous infinix hot 2.

To all infinix hot 2 users, start getting ready as a major android marshmallow 6.0 might be hitting your device sooner than you expected.

Infinix Hot Note's Screen Is Actually Breakable

For almost five months now, I have been using the infinix hot note and I've got to say, it's a really impressive device.

Back in June earlier this year, a youtuber Ahmed LY released a nail test video for the infinix hot note. In the video, he used the infinix hot note's screen to drive nails into a wooden block.
After seeing this video, so many people believed that the infinix hot note had an unbreakable screen, I wanted to do my own test but I didn't want to hurt 'my baby'.
If you haven't seen the video,  you can view it below;

Last week, I performed an 'accidental' drop test and the outcome was not so good.

As you can see in the picture above, the screen was wrecked!
So, if you believe that your infinix hot note screen is unbreakable, think again.

Infinix Note 2 Confirmed Specs And Official Images

Earlier this month, I told you about the arrival of a new Infinix Device called the Infinix Note 2 aka Big6.
In the previous post, I didn't include the specifications of the device because at that time there weren't confirmed yet.
In today's post however, I would be listing some of the major specs of the Infinix Note 2 and also some official images of the Infinix Note 2

The Infinix Note 2 is said to be running on Android 5.1 Lollipop probably upgradable to Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The Infinix Note 2 would be a 6 inch device and would pack a 4000mah non-removable battery with super fast charge: 15 mins charge, 8 hours usage.
The Infinix Note 2 would spot an impressive 13MP back camera, 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM.

A Bigger 3000mah Infinix Hot 2 battery Now Available

A Bigger 3000mah Infinix Hot 2 battery Now Available.

This post is meant for Infinix Hot 2 users, people planning to buy the Infinix Hot 2 and general tech enthusiasts.

Some time ago, I wrote a post 'informing you of a bigger Infinix Hot 2 battery that would soon be released, there were so many misconceptions at that time as many people believed that there was going to be a new Infinix Hot 2 with a better battery instead of a bigger Infinix Hot 2 battery but if you read that previous post you would notice that I already saw through it, I announced that there was going to be a bigger Hot 2 battery.

Earlier this week, the announced 3000mah Infinix Hot 2 battery is now available in major stores(online and offline) across Nigeria.

Surely, this is a welcomed improvement because the initial 2,200mah battery was kinda whack, this new 3000mah battery would go a long way in improving the quality of the Infinix Hot 2
The only problem(permit me to use that word) about this new 3000mah Infinix Hot 2 battery is that it is bulkier(fatter) and your normal back cover can't fully contain it so if you want to buy a new battery for your Infinix Hot 2 you will have to buy a new back cover along with it(the battery comes with a back cover) and the back covers are currently available in red and blue colours.

    Infinix Hot 2 X510 3000mah battery

If you want to ditch your crappy 2,200mah battery and you don't mind dropping off your previous colour for a blue or red color then you can buy the battery case for N2,200 here on jumia

Black Friday Deals To Watch Out For In Nigeria

In a previous post I explained the concept of black Friday, told you it's the best day of the year to go shopping.
Now I'm sure you understand what black Friday is all about and would love to participate in it(who doesn't?).
Truth be told, black Friday in Nigeria isn't really big.. But, a few stores still keep it real and offer amazing discounts on black Friday, in today's post I'd be listing Black Friday Deals that you should DEFINITELY look out for in Nigeria.

    Jumia Black Friday Sale

Jumia has managed to make a name for its self in online shopping since entering the market in 2012.

    Jumia black Friday sale

In their second year(2013), they introduced Black Friday to Nigerians though it wasn't much of a success because Nigerians were new to both Online Shopping and Black Friday.
In 2014, They staged another Black Friday sale and this time, it was a massive success.
They traffic to the Jumia website was so much that it crashed at a point(guess that's why they introduced the Jumia app). Also, they made a record of over 30,000 people on the site at every minute of that day.

This year won't be any different, if anything it's going to be bigger!
Most of the Black Friday deals are going to be flash sales meaning they'd be in limited stock so you're going to have to be really fast if you want to participate.

An announcement is usually made before the deals start. To stand a better chance if winning, I'd advice you be on Jumia 5-10mins before the deals start so that when they start you would be ready to grab em.

KONGA BLACK FRIDAY DEALS a.k.a FALL YAKATA SALES

Konga is one of the top Online malls in Nigeria and they aren't left out of the Black Friday sale.
Their black Friday sales is always tagged as 'Fall yakata'. Fall yakata means 'fall to pieces' in pidgin English.

    Konga black Friday sale

Just as the name suggests, during this period all prices would 'fall to pieces'.
The 'yakata' sales would hold from November 26-27 and during this period Konga promises to deliver the best prices across products.
Most of the deals would be available on flash sales so you going to have to be really fast to grab them.
    start konga yakata shopping now

    YUDALA BLACK FRIDAY SALE

In the field of online shopping, Yudala is somewhat of a 'new kid on the block' when compared to jumia and Konga, based on the fact the some people still don't know it but i assure you they are planning something BIG come black friday.
On Nov 27th(black friday) you would get a rare opportunity to shop both online and offline onyudala at really discounted prices.

With Christmas just around the corner, yudala promises to bring perfect prices across products which is perfect for an early christmas shopping.

The fuchsia thursday(nov 26th) would welcome us into the shopping festival, immediately followed by black friday and cyber Monday(Nov 30th) would end the shopping madness making it almost impossible to miss the deals.

    SLOT BLACK FRIDAY SALE

In Nigeria, when you think offline tech store one of the first places that comes to mind is SLOT.
It no surprise that they will be taking part in this year's black friday sale.
    Start shopping

On November 27th, Everything would be their cheapest so strap up and prepare for it because it won't be child's play.

An addictive Game Is Hidden In Google Chrome

Yesterday, I was browsing on Google Chrome with a WiFi router and unexpectedly it disconnected and showed.

    You are Offline
WiFi and mobile data are unavailable. The page can be loaded once the device connects to a network.

    Hidden game in Google Chrome

Out of frustration and impatience I kept tapping the screen and I noticed that the animal(dinosaur) on the left came to life and started running, I was really surprised.

As the Dino ran, there were cactus obstacles in its way and I found out that I could make if jump by tapping the screen.

So I kept playing the game which I became so addicted to that I forgot I was browsing.

It's an endless running game like Subway Surfers and Temple run.

    To play the Google Chrome game on your Android all you have to do is switch off your data connection and try loading a page on it like try visiting a website with your data switched off, you should see a page saying;

    You are Offline
WiFi and mobile data are unavailable. The page cam be loader once the device connects to a network.

Now, just tap anywhere on the screen and the dinosaur on the left would come alive just as I explained earlier, tap anywhere on your screen to jump over the obstacles.

To play the game on your PC, disable your connection(it's an offline game) and when it shows the 'You're Offline'  page, instead of tapping your screen you tap the space bar and also use the space bar to jump over obstacles.

For iOS users, I haven't tried it out on an iPhone or iPad yet.
You could try testing out using the method for Android. And let us know the outcome by posting your feedback in the comments section below.

Wow! You made it this far!
For reading this post till the end I'd share an additional Google Chrome tip with you.
I'd show you how to use Google Chrome as a calculator.

To Use Google Chrome as a calculator, just input the problem in the address bar but do not press enter.

How To Use Glo Bis Subscription On Android 3GB for 1k

How To Use Glo Bis Subscription On Android 3GB for 1k
Earlier, I wrote a post on How to use Mtn BBLITE subscription on Android it was a good deal but some people didn't like it because it doesn't readily support Whatsapp, Instagram and a few other apps.

Today, I would be showing you How to use Glo Bis On your Android phone, the Glo Bis Subscription offers 3GB for 1k valid for a month. To some(including me), 3GB for a month is not enough but it sure goes a long way.

In this post, I'd be showing you two methods to do the Glo Bis On your Android phone.
One method involves changing your phone's imei and the other doesn't.

How To Use Glo Bis On Android Without Changing Imei

To use Glo Bis On your Android phone without changing your imei all you need is a blackberry device, your Android phone and your Glo Sim card of course!

    • Insert the Glo Sim card inside the Blackberry phone.
    • Load up your Sim with N1000 airtime.
    • Subscribe by Texting Comonth to 777
    • Wait for a confirmation message.
    • Browse on the Blackberry for a few minutes.
    • Remove the Sim and insert it into the Android phone(Make sure your data connection is turned off)
    • Go to settings > Mobile networks > Access Point Name
    • Create a new APN
      Using ;
      Name - Naijatechs.com(or just anything)
      APN - Blackberry.net
      Leave the rest.
    • Make it your default access point
    • Insert the Sim into the Blackberry again and browse for another 10 mins or less.
    • Now return the Sim to the Android phone and keep blazing!

Use Glo Bis On Android, Change Imei Method

To do this, you have to change your Android imei to a blackberry imei excluding BB10 devices like Z10, Z30, Passport etc... Use a non BB10 device like bold 1-6, touch or curve imei.

I already explained the process of Changing Imei in a previous post you may need to check it out.

If you know how to tweak imei, read on!

Now, you have to generate a valid imei.
You could either Install Blackberry Imei generator from playstore or just select any imei from the ones listed below(they all work!)

    358265017685154
    358265017685113
    358265017685105
    358265017685121
    358265017685139
    358265017685147
    358265017685162
    358265017685170
    358265017685188
    358265017685014
    358265017685006
    358265017685022
    358265017685030
    358265017685048
    358265017685055
    358265017685196

After getting an imei, Change your phone's imei Using this method.

  • Now subscribe by texting COmonth to 777(Its advisable you subscribe on a blackberry phone)

    • Wait for a confirmation message.
    • Browse on the Blackberry for a few minutes.
    • Remove the Sim and insert it into the Android phone(Makes sure your data is off)
    • Go to settings, Mobile networks Access Point Name create a new APN
      Using ;
      Name - Naijatechs.com(or just anything)
      APN - Blackberry.net
      Leave the rest.
    • Make it your default access point
    Keep blazing!

Personally, I prefer the second method.
The first one works also but it's not 100% certain.

If you have any difficulties, just drop it in the comment section.

Tecno Camon C5 Now Available In Nigeria

The Tecno Camon C5 is a 5.0 inch, 4G enabled Android device announced by Tecno mobile back in July.

The device was a really awesome device and a lot of people anticipated it. The only problem was that after all the campaigns and everything, when the Tecno Camon C5 finally launched in August we heard that it wasn't available for sale in Nigeria instead we were compensated with the Tecno Camon C8 which is somewhat similar to the Tecno Camon C5 except, it doesn't support 4G connectivity, you can imagine how that felt.

Last week, I was doing some window shopping on Jumia, getting ready for black Friday when I saw the Tecno Camon C5 up for sale, at an affordable price too.

Tecno Camon C5 price in Nigeria

    Let me quickly do a little spec run down for the Tecno Camon C5;

OMG!! Infinix Hot 2 On Sale For N210,000

I hope you are as shocked as I am right now?
The Infinix Hot 2 is an android device often praised for its affordability, everyone is amazed at the fact that you can get this great device(with amazing Specs) for a price between 17,500 and N21,000.

What would you do if, after racking your brain you decide to buy this device with a budget of (For example) N20,000, you want to do an online shopping(which is the norm these days) so you log onto a particular online store(not mentioning names) only to find the Infinix Hot 2 with a N210,000 price tag?

    Infinix Hot 2 price

Me? I'd run away without looking back.

That price is ridiculously high! Even if I was half asleep I CAN NOT buy an Infinix Hot 2 at such a price, that's even more expensive than an iPhone 6.

There a possibility that it was an error on the company's side.
I'm not writing this to tarnish anybody's image, that's why I didn't include the company's name.

The sole purpose of writing this post is to warn all ye online shoppers out there, we all know that shopping online has taken over, these days everyone's too lazy(me inclusive) to go out of the house to buy stuffs, we all want them delivered to our front door. But guys, as we shop we need to make sure to keep a look out.

When you want to buy something, make sure that you check and balance the price with the price of that same item in like three other stores just to make sure.

Maybe Slow Internet Isn't So Bad Afterall

Okay... Okay.. Okay... Before you all eat me alive just hear me out.

I'm the number one hater of slow Internet, I mean, is there anything worse than it?

Since the inception of 3G and 4G we all just forgot those days when we browse on our Nokia C1😏, those days when you'd have to wait minutes for a page to load and we were patient back then until we got 3G and 4G enabled phones, then if it doesn't load in two seconds there's a big problem!

It's an established fact that we all hate slow Internet connection but what if I told you 'maybe it has its good side?'

For example, Slow Internet connection helped a student sitting for an examination by giving him an 'EXPO'(Like it's often called in Nigeria).

Another New Infinix Device Set To Launch Soon

We can never seem to have enough of Infinix, the brand which is currently the top smartphone company in Nigeria based on a survey carried out by me has been releasing device after device, they never seem to be out of devices to drop and so far, all devices have been impressive.

    This year alone we have had;
Rumors also suggest that there would be a sequel to the Infinix Hot note (Hot note 2), and I suspect that's what this new device is.

The company has started its campaign for the incoming device and it is tagged "#InfinixBig6" and the official announcement of the device would be on November 27th(Hey! That's Black Friday!!!)

Infinix new device hot note 2 Infinixbig6

    Not much is known about this new device but there a couple of things I can try to deduce off its campaign theme;

    6 - It could mean a 6 inch screen
6 - It could mean Android Marshmallow 6.0, which I think would be awesome!
6 - could also mean a 6,000mah battery, judging from the fact the Hot note boasted a 4000mah battery it's only right that this would be better.
    6 could also mean N60,000 right? ;)

Infinix already made its stand in the Nigerian market after releasing 'record breaking devices'
The Hot note had a record of reaching 50,000 hands in a week!

With the increasing number of people moving from Android to iPhone, there is need to find a method to take all our Musics, videos, contacts, photos and all other files with us as we move.

Apple recently released their first Android app called move to iOS on Google play store.
The app is meant for Android users that want to switch to iPhones and iPads and would like to migrate their data including photos, videos, Musics, applications, contacts and other files with them as they move over to iOs.

The app was rolled out right after the new iOS 9 software was released to make it easier as people move from Android to iPhone.

    Moving from Android to iOS can be completed in five easy steps;

    2)Launch the application.

3)Place the iOS device(iPhone or iPad) you're moving to next to the Android device.
