Sliide Airtime is a new way to get free airtime directly on your phone.
Sliide Airtime displays latest news and gists on your phone's lockscreen and at the end of the month you get rewarded with free airtime. You also get N100 worth of airtime when you refer someone and the person registers using your code.
However, lately it has been really difficult or impossible you cash out the airtime earned and people have started dropping this new app thinking it has stopped working for some reason.
In today's post, I will be telling you why it is hard to cash out your earnings on Sliide.
Sliide Airtime recently published a post on their official Facebook page addressing the issue;
As many of you know we experienced some fraudulent activity during the first few days of Sliide Airtime’s launch. This meant we had to pause a number of user’s accounts whilst we investigated the situation. We know this was a frustrating time for anyone who’s account was paused, and we thank you all for your patience and understanding. We have now finished that investigation and wanted to update you all on what happened:
A number of users found a loop hole in our system, which meant they were able to unfairly earn a large amount of free airtime in their Sliide Airtime accounts. Everyone who earned airtime legitimately has now had their account unblocked, and can continue using Sliide Airtime as normal. Anyone who we found to have earned airtime fraudulently or unfairly has had their Sliide Airtime removed from their Sliide accounts. We chose to do this to protect the vast majority of our users, who have been earning airtime honestly. We are a startup, and if we had paid out the airtime to the people who earned fraudulently, we would not have been able to afford to pay our honest users, and this would not be fair.
We hope that you can all understand our reasoning, and that you will support us in our decision to look after the 99% of our users who are using the app honestly.
