Lately, I have been messing around with my blog template, you must have noticed I have changed my blog design about three times in the past week and I might still change the current one because I'm beginning to notice some things I don't like about it.

Why, you might ask...I want my blog to be as close to perfect as possible that is the reason why. This morning I decided I wanted a facebook page box on my blog to make it easily for my readers to access my blog posts easily via facebook.

Adding a facebook page like box for your blogger blog is quite easy if you know what you are doing.
In this post, I will be giving you a step-by-step guide on how to add a facebook page like box for your blogger blog.

Before you can create a facebook page like box for your blog, you need to first have a facebook page. If you don't have a facebook page for your blog, you easily create one here

Now that you have a facebook page for your blog, you can now go to the Facebook plugin page to create your Facebook like box and get the code. After getting your code, follow our steps here.

Go to your Blogger dashboard.
Click on template then click 'Edit HTML'
Using CTRL + F, find <body> and paste this code below it.

Click SAVE and go back to your blogger dashboard.
Click on LAYOUT, then go to your sidebar widget.
Click 'Add Gadget'
Select HTML/JavaScript Gadget
Now paste the like box code you got earlier and click save

If you correctly followed the steps above, your facebook page like box should be appearing on your blog.

New Malware Discovered In Google Play Store

All security agencies will tell you to always installs your apps from the official store to avoid malwares. When apps on Google play store begin to have malwares, that's when you truly have no where to run to.

A new Malware called 'Dress-code" has been discovered in Google Playstore despite it being the most secured Android app store.

No one knows how this malware quietly sneaked into Google Playstore but it is reported have infected more than 40 applications on Google playstore and more than 400 applications on unofficial app stores.

What this type of malware does is, it creates a botnet which allows the attackers to use infected devices to route traffic. In the case of DressCode, Check Point says, the hackers only used it to generate false ad clicks and traffic, thus collecting ad revenue.
However, it stated that a botnet can be used for much more serious attacks, such as gaining access to company servers and files.

Even the Dresscode malware is used for a seemingly harmless purpose, you should still watch out for it because it could be used for more dangerous purpose if the attacker wants.

To avoid all forms of malware, always make sure that your Android device has the latest security patch installed and always be careful of what you download in apps store.

Afe Babalola University Ado-Ekiti Bans Students From Using Smartphones

Earlier today, I was checking online any stories that might interest me when I came across this post on FallTechs that stated that a certain Nigerian University had banned its students from using smartphones.

If you are a returning student or you're awaiting admission into Afe babalola University (ABUAD) then you should be ready to drop your smartphones and tablets at home because the University has just banned the use of smartphones.

Requirements for acceptance into Afe Babalola University (ABUAD), Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State has been released for both fresh and returning students, but the newest of the rules is the prohibition of smartphones.

This new rule has caused serious uproar especially on social media, with everyone expressing their shock.

On ABUAD’s website, the university listed smartphones students as one of the prohibited items.

”the University would allow students to use telephone but limited to non-smartphones. Any TELEPHONE aside the University’s specification, inclusive of TABLETS or IPADS shall be CONFISCATED and the Student shall be SANCTIONED,” - it read on the site.

Actually, this isn’t the first time ABUAD has come under fire for its rule on the use of mobile phones.

Back in May 2011, the school stated that camera phones were prohibited for fresh students in its hall of residence for its 2012/2013 academic session. Only Nokia 5030 'XpressRadio' was to be allowed.

The site said: ”Camera phones e.g black berry, iphone, e.t.c. The only acceptable Mobile phone is Nokia 5030 torchlight phone on which the name of the owner must be inscribed,”.

The rules private universities make for their students have long been an issue in Nigeria.

For example Covenant University, Ota, one of the most expensive Universities in the country, applies a ‘very strict’ dress code to its students, with mobile phones also barred.

The rule made by ABUAD is what the public would call bizarre in this technological age.
The information on the site was signed by its Registrar, Christie Oluborode.

Prohibiting the use of smartphones in a time when various apps are available to assist students with their learning is unacceptable.

You Can Now Pinch-to-zoom On Instagram

Instagram has been adding new features and improving the app user experience since it was taken over by Facebook for $1 billion in 2012. New features have gradually appeared with some being more popular than others. Instagram stories was recently introduced to compete with Snapchat, this is perhaps the biggest change so far as it seems to have been quickly accepted by most users.

The latest change announced on Instagram’s official Twitter feed is Pinch-to-zoom, with the latest update of the Instagram app you can now pinch-to-zoom allowing a closer look at the images.
This new feature allows you to zoom in on images and it's a bit surprising that Instagram just adding this feature.

The new zoom feature is kind of unnecessary if you use Instagram on a tablet or laptop. It is more useful on smaller screens or if you want to zoom in to see something hidden in an image.

The new zoom feature works on both photos and videos, and in the profile, feed, and explore sections of the app. Before you go checking for the update, sadly the feature is only being introduced on iOS at the moment but I assure you it will be hitting playstore any time from now.

This Is The Biggest iPhone 7 Leak So Far

The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus launch is almost upon us and we have been seeing lots of leaks, some of which are true and while others are not.

In a recent post, I shared a shocking news that the new iPhone models would actually be called the iPhone 6SE not iPhone 7 as we all expected.

However, a new leak showing up today contradicts the previous post and proves that the new iPhone models would indeed be called the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus.

A new photo discovered by cnBeta shows paper you’d expect to see inside an iPhone box, with language for the Hong Kong market.

What is it's name?
According to the image above, the iPhone 7 Plus will indeed be released as the “iPhone 7 Plus”. Let’s never speak of “iPhone 6SE” again that is such a horrible name.

More Storage For You.
The first thing you'll notice in the image above is the memory capacity. The image indicates the iPhone 7 Plus will come with as much as 256GB of internal storage, just as I stated in a previous post. That’s great news as you can now get more storage space for your files.

The adapter You Definitely want
If you keep reading the text, skipping the part that is in chinese, you'll see something even more interesting. The box supposedly includes “iPhone 7 Plus, EarPods with Lightning Connector, Lightning to Headphone Jack Adapter, Lightning to USB Cable, and USB Power Cable”.

In simple English, the iPhone 7 plus will have no 3.5mm standard earphone jack, but Apple has two solutions for you — both of them available in the box.
You can either use a new type of wired headphones, the Lightning EarPods, or use an adapter that will allow you use your old 3.5mm headphones.

Could it be fake?
This leak come from China, and it almost looks too good to be true. But since we’re very close to the iPhone 7 launch, we wouldn’t be surprised to if this is indeed the real text headed to the iPhone’s box.

Facebook Introduce ExpressWiFi Hotspots In Lagos

Facebook is really serious on its mission to connect the world via internet, with initiatives like Facebook lite and Free Basics, making the Internet much easier to access in developing countries like Nigeria.
Talking about Nigeria, Facebook is going a step further with the deployment of ExpressWifi in Lagos in collaboration with Coollink.
The service is expected to launch some time this week, but is already in operation in some parts of Lagos, such as Ikota Shopping Complex.

ExpressWifi is a new program Facebook that lets mobile users purchase data from local internet service providers. Facebook is providing software that helps local ISPs sell and provide internet service in rural areas, which can be accessed via public Wi-Fi hotspots.
Besides being a source of cheap internet, the ExpressWiFi program is also a means of empowering entrepreneurs who get the Wifi equipment (including a 1Kva inverter) setup for free and make a 15% commission on each ExpressWifi data plan sale.ExpressWifi

Users within the Express Wifi range of coverage are able to browse the sites on Free basics for free, you are charged for additional browsing activity. Internet plans on ExpressWifi start at N40 for 100MB daily and go all the way up to N1,600 for a 5GB monthly plan. All ExpressWiFi point is served by a 10Mbps connection which is shared across all the users.

The service, will be deployed across the country eventually, as soon as the first stage which is centered around Lagos is completed.

Nigeria will be the second country where ExpressWifi by Facebook is being deployed, it was deployed in India last month.

I understand that I haven't been really active lately, I really really apologize for that there's just been a lot going on lately plus NEPA no gree give us light...lol

Your IPhone 6 May Be Infected With The Touch Disease

After spending your entire life savings plus your semester school fees on a brand new iPhone 6 plus, you wake up one morning and notice that your iPhone no longer responds to touch.

According to several reports, the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus are suffering from a serious disease called the 'touch disease'. The disease starts with a flickering bar that appears at the top of the iPhones’ screens, this bar doesn’t respond to touch. Over time, the bar grows until the whole screen no longer touches again.

This problem has been noticed since the launch of the phones but didn’t manifest until recently because the phones are starting to get old.

The cause of the disease is still unknown, but iFixit claims that the fault comes from the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus’ logic board, the part of the phone that creates communication between the different elements of the device.

So far, millions of iPhones worldwide could potentially be vulnerable to this disease, yet Apple has refused to acknowledge it as an issue.

In case you notice that your iPhone screen has a blinking bar, you might need to either replace the phone, replace the logic board or replace the Touch ICs on the logic board. Yeah, I’d rather get a new a new phone though to prevent the 'disease' from recurring.

SwiftKey Beta Version Now Supports Android Nougat Emojis

SwiftKey had a bit of trouble last month when they experienced a bug with suggestions, the app was sharing information between accounts, giving email addresses and phone numbers as suggestions to other users who never entered them.

That made the developers to
stop all synchronization in the app(I guess that's why whenever I try typing in my email it no longer auto corrects..its too much work typing am email in full) then they rolled out a temporary fix that brought back synchronization but only for regular words, not emails and numbers.

Now the final fix is here. The latest SwiftKey Beta version 6.4.1.45 brings back number, email, and other predictions containing the character @. However, all the previously learned ones have been wiped so you'll have to start all over.
The beta also adds 74 new Android Nougat's emojis as well as the skin tone modifiers for plenty of existing emojis just like on whatsapp(tap and hold on the emojis with a small grey triangle beneath them to reveal the different variations).
