Whatsapp End Support For Blackberry devices, Some Windows And Others

Recently, Whatsapp have been in the news various reasons.
Few weeks ago, it reached a whooping 1 billion active users per month milestone.
Then shortly after that it celebrated it 7th year of existence anniversary.

Whatsapp has appeared in the news again but this time, it's for something really shocking.
 During the celebration of its 7th year of existence, Whatsapp announced that it will no longer offer the kind of capabilities that WhatsApp requires to expand its features in the future to the following mobile platforms;

  • BlackBerry devices including BlackBerry 10
  • Nokia S40 devices
  • Nokia Symbian S60 devices
  • Android phones running version 2.1 and 2.2
  • Windows Phones running Windows 7.1

Basically, what this means is that very soon the above mentioned devices will no longer be able to run the popular instant messaging app, Whatsapp.

This is really bad for blackberry seeing as even their Blackberry 10 devices where included. So, very soon blackberry devices won't run whatsapp including the Porsche, Passport and other high-end blackberry device, the only exception would be the Blackberry Priv because it runs on Android OS.
