Another New Blackberry Android Device DTEK60 Coming Soon

BlackBerry released the DTEK50 last month, it was the company's second Android phone after the Priv.
We heard several rumors suggesting that the company would be focusing on launching more Android devices, possibly one every three months for the next six months.
Blackberry DTEK60

This might be true seeing that a new Blackberry Android phone, the Blackberry DTEK60, just passed through the FCC. The FCC filing doesn’t give us much details, but it confirms the phone’s existence.

BlackBerry leaked the phone’s specs on their website earlier this week. If these specs are correct, the DTEK60 will be a lot better than the DTEK50.

According to the Leaked specs, the Blackberry DTEK60 might have:
  1. a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor
  2. 4GB of RAM
  3. A 5.5-inch QHD screen
  4. 21-megapixel rear camera and 8-megapixel front-facing camera
  5. 3000mAh Battery with Quick Charge 3.0
  6. Fingerprint sensor
  7. USB Type-C
Also, the blackberry DTEK60 won’t be coming with Blackberry's iconic physical keyboard...Sorry.

The Blackberry DTEK60 is reportedly launching on October 11th with a price tag of $530.

Meet The Infinix Note2 Look Alike

The Infinix Note 2 is without doubt one of the most anticipated devices of this year. It was officially launched last month but up till now it has not really been available for sale.

I was recently going through gearbest with no intent of buying anything, just window shopping then I saw a phone 'LeTv One X600' and I couldn't help but notice the striking resemblance between the device and the newly launched Infinix Note 2.

Infinix note 2

The devices looked so alike that I had to check the specs of the LeTv One x600 to make sure that it wasn't the Infinix Note2 x600 because it even had the same model name 'X600'.

Letv One x600 Specs

Display: 5.5 inch IPS FHD Screen
CPU: MTK helio X10 64bit Octa Core 2.0GHz
GPU: Imagination PowerVR G6200
System: Android 5.0
RAM + ROM: 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM
Camera: 5.0MP + 90° wide-angle camera, 13.0MP AF face beauty with true flash light camera
Bluetooth: 4.0
GPS: GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS
Features: Gyroscope,Infrared Remote Control, Electronic Compass
Sensor: Light sensor, G-sensor, P-sensor, Hall Sensor, Proximity sensor
SIM Card: Dual SIM dual standby, MICRO SIM
Network:
2G: GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz
3G: WCDMA 850/900/1900/2100MHz
4G: FDD-LTE 1800/2100/2600MHz

After seeing the specs of the LeTv One x600 it's obvious that it is an entirely different phone so that means there was a copy in design and name, so who did the copying? Infinix or Letv?

Infinix Zero 3 Rumored Specs: 3GB RAM And 20.7MP Camera

It's no news that Infinix has been targeting the middle end to lower end part of the smartphone market but it would appear they are turning it up a notch and going High end on the Infinix Zero 3.

According to a reliable source(Mehn..I've always wanted to say that), the Infinix Zero 3 would be coming with a double sided explosion-proof glass and a stainless steel frame.
It's going to be slimmer and lighter than its 'brother' Zero 2 that would make it very slim and very light because the Zero 2 is so light and so slim, let's see shaa.

Infinix zero 3

It's also going to come with a bigger 5.5inch Full HD screen with a 400ppi protected by a tough corning gorilla glass 3.

And the camera, this is the best part....
The Infinix Zero 3 comes with a 20.7MP back camera with SONY IMX260 cmos Sensor, a dual LED flash and a 5MP front camera for selfies.

Note that huge pixel sizes of a phone's camera does not guarantee good picture quality.

Infinix zero 3specs

The Infinix Zero 3 is said to run a 64bit MediaTek Helio X10 Octa-core processor clocked at 2.20GHz.

It is also said to have an impressive RAM size of 3GB.
There was a major upgrade in the battery as the Infinix Zero 3 rocks a 3030mah non-removable battery compared to the 2600mah battery of the Zero 2 and also the Infinix Zero 3 supports fast charge, a feature which was left out of the Infinix Zero 2.

And to round it all up, there are rumours that the device would be water resistant but it's not confirmed yet.

The Infinix Zero 3 has a benchmark score of 44245 on Antutu.

As for the price of the zero 3,nothing has been said but I suspect it should be above 40k, judging by the specs this is a high end device so it's only natural that it has a high price.

Infinix Zero 3 Incoming - Are You Ready?

If this was a battle of consistency, Infinix probably already won the game, releasing a new device almost every month.
Just this year alone, we've had;
  • Infinix Hot Note (Jan 2015)
  • Infinix Zero 2 (June 2015)
  • Infinix Hot 2 (August 2015)
  • And the recently launched Infinix Note2(November 2015)

Infinix zero 3

At the moment, there are no official specifications or photos of the coming Infinix Zero 3 device so all we have to do is wait.

Samsung Bashes Apple in New TV commercial

This Rivalry between Samsung and Apple is becoming unending, just last week I wrote a post describing how Samsung Attacked Apple iPhone 6 for it's lack of support for Wireless Charging, we all thought that was the end however we can't be more wrong because it seems they're just getting started!

Early this month, Samsung kicked off its TV ad campaign tagged "It's not a phone, it's a Galaxy" which sounds somewhat similar to Apple's previous campaign If it's not an iPhone, it's not an iPhone". The campaign is intended to showcase key features of "Top-of-the-line" Samsung devices but now it seems to be taking a new turn because all the ads seem to be targeted at degrading the iPhone, last week an ad Showing off the Wireless Charging feature was released, the video showed the Samsung S6, Samsung S6 edge and the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 charging through a wireless charging pad and in between, an iPhone was shown also trying to charge off the charging pad but sadly it couldn't :(

Now, another video has been released and this is no different, this edition of the "It's not a phone, it's a Galaxy" campaign showcases the new Samsung Pay which is Samsung's answer to Apple Pay.

Samsung new Samsung pay, Apple pay

Samsung pay is a mobile payment and digital wallet by Samsung, that allows users to make payments with their compatible Samsung devices. Samsung pay unlike Apple pay works in almost every retail store and does not require an NFC-enabled POS and that's what Samsung is trying to tell us.

In today's video, users of "Top-of-the-line" Samsung devices were shown making payments at the mall and as usual, an iPhone user also tried it and I think We all know what the outcome of that would be.

Watch the video below and share your thoughts.

The Rivalry Continues: Samsung Throws Shade At Apple

Over the years there's been a lot of dissing between this two companies as they keep releasing ads and making remarks intended to degrade the other. Around this time last year Samsung ran a campaign where they sticked posters around wall-sockets at airports, the posters read Samsung Galaxy S5 with Ultra Power Saving Mode. So you can be anywhere but here.

How To Easily Root Infinix Hot 2 X510 without PC

Infinix Hot 2 is Google's first Android one device in Africa, it runs on Stock Android instead of Infinix's customized XUI.
I've seen a lot of people complain that the Infinix Hot 2 is really hard to root, initially I believed this until last week when I got a new Infinix Hot 2 and while I was playing around with it I decided to try Rooting it. Naturally before I start going through the long process of rooting with a PC I would make sure that I already tried using 'click to root' apps since most MTK PHONES work with them.

Check Out The Tecno Camon C8 With A Futuristic Camera

In case you hadn't noticed, I don't do phone reviews anymore, why? Even I don't know.. It was just a personal decision. I decided to just to stop phone reviews for a while and focus more on Tips and News, but lately the Tecno C8 has been tempting me,calling me and begging me to review "Her", I took my stand and Said I wasn't going to make a review, now seeing a couple of pictures that this "baby" captured made me rethink my decision.

I was going through Tecno's official Facebook page trying to keep myself upto speed and check if I'd see the release date and maybe some pictures of the highly anticipated TECNO Camon C8, I saw pictures, pictures that "WOWED" me and I've got to say I'm impressed, I'll be showing you the pictures I saw so..get ready to get your mind blown.

Another Monster Device From infinix?

Infinix seem to be going "all in", Releasing Flagship device after flagship device and taking the mobile market by storm!
Infinix hot note was a mega hit, reaching over 50,000 hands in week!
Infinix Zero 2 is a nice device with impressive specs but the price is quite high for the average Nigerian so it didn't reach as much hands as the Infinix hot note.
Infinix Hot also held its end, been a really nice budget phone.

Speculations suggest that they are in the kitchen again, and I smell something super cooking!

Innjoo Lagos Office Set To Resume Operations

Innjoo Lagos Office Set To Resume Operations
Few days ago, I wrote a post that said Innjoo Lagos Office Got Shut Down By NCC due to the company producing substandard products and all the innjoo users were in Panic-mode and all aspiring innjoo users immediately took their mind off all Innjoo products
I promised I would update you as the matter unfolds, so here I am.

I tried reaching any Innjoo staff (besides the security guard) and all efforts were in vain.

A friend, Don Caprio of Geek NG managed to get a hold of a staff via Email.

Here's what he had to say;

We confirmed that the device in question was the newly released Innjoo Fire that actually sold lots copies.

In an email chat with Jack Huang, Innjoo sales manager for Nigeria, he confirmed this and explained that Innjoo will resume operations this week. He said the issue they had with NCC has been sorted out.

Earlier today again in a short phone call, he maintained that operations would resume this week. When asked whether other devices were affected, he said the only device in question was Innjoo Fire and of course, we’re assuming the phone has now passed through the proper channel and has been approved by NCC. However, that’s only our speculation.

We don’t know yet if the device has now been approved by NCC or whether its now safe to use but at the moment, it’s not available on Innjoo’s major online retail partner, Jumia

Now I'm confused;
They guys that are using the supposed "faulty" Innjoo Fire? What do they do?

Should they return them?

Some people even say "Innjoo bribed their way back"(you didn't hear that from me).

All the same they are welcome back.

I just hope they beef up the performance of their phones so we don't start dancing to the same old tune again.

Sony Xperia Z3+ Review

The Sony Xperia Z3+ is the latest smartphone by Japanese manufacturer, Sony.

It is the successor of the successful Sony Xperia Z3.
Naturally, we expect new phones to come with new amazing features and when they don't "As is the case of the Sony Xperia Z3+ we feel disappointed. But in this case I would say it's quite understandable seeing as the Sony Xperia Z3 is already a monster device!
But a few improvements like a better battery and a slightly different design, would have gone a long way.
