Google has finally announced the official name for this year's Android N operating system.
Earlier this year, several rumors suggested that Android N would be called Nutella however Google had something different in mind.
The next version of Android is officially named Android Nougat 7.0.
A ceremony held at the Googleplex this morning showed the Android mascot standing on top of a nougat bar.
Unfortunately, the announcement did not come with an official launch date.
A nougat is a chewy candy bar with a mixture of roasted nuts and bits of fruit within.
Last month, Google allowed people to suggest what Android N should be called, it appears they did use the results - at least they said they did.
If you ask me though, I think Nougat is a really terrible name choice.
Before I forget, Happy new month guys!
