Samsung Reports $3 Billion Loss Over Galaxy Note 7

This is definitely not a good year for South Korean mobile phone giant, Samsung, as their Galaxy Note 7 has been in the news more times than Hillary and Donald Trump put together.

Since its launch, there have been numerous reports of the flagship device exploding causing the company to recall all Note 7 devices on two occasions.
Samsung then issued replacement phones with updated software and a new battery supplier, but those phones also caught fire.

Due to this, Samsung says it expects to record a big loss over its decision to stop production of the Galaxy Note 7 smartphone.

In a statement, Samsung says it expects to lose a whopping $3 billion in profit between now and March 2017.

Earlier this week, Samsung announced that it's ending all production and sales of the Note 7.
