Security experts warn about an Android porn app that takes secret pictures of the people using it.
People at Zscaler say that the Android porn app ADULT PLAYER secretly takes your picture and locks you out of your phone.
The photos taken are then added to a note asking for a $500(99,550NGN) to be paid via PayPal.
The hackers promise to unlock the affected phones and also delete the pictures in return after payment have been made.
But some users say their phones remain unusable even after paying the 'RANSOM'
Analysts at Zscaler also say theres a way to 'revive' your phone and remove the malicious application without paying a dime!
The affected Android phone must be booted into SAME MODE, once you're on administrator mode, the bad app can be selected and deleted.
Adult Player can not be installed from Google play store and can only be installed from a website.
Zscaler also advice people to only install apps from the official store, they also urged people to back up their data so that if they get attacked by malicious softwares they can easily wipe their device and restore their data.
Apps that demand money, threatening to release private information or brick the device are called RANSOMWARE
